The Manning family has been full of witches since anyone can remember, and it is something they take great pride in. They hardly try to hide it from their children. Instead they promote the use of their magic and teach those in the family from a very young age. This very much so explains the outcome of some of the greatest healers Ashwick has ever seen coming from the Manning family, itself. 

Harper comes from a very stable household. Her mother and father, Iris and Dylan Manning, have always been nothing except supportive. Her mother is a great witch and always had an avidity to practicing magic with Harper as a child. So magic is something that has become almost second nature to Harper, but she continues to explore and strengthen her abilities to use it. No one in her family has ever tried to use their gift for the purpose of evil. Normally, they're all healers and pacifists, and if not they don't use their magic at all.

Harper Manning is a lover, not a fighter. That isn't to say that she doesn't have a bad side that one shouldn't cross, but it is a feat within itself to try and get her all riled up about something. She dons a calm exterior and pleasant smile, so composed that most people never know exactly what is going on her mind. Although this may lend to the belief that Harper is secretly deceitful, she's anything but. Harper is unafraid to make know what she is thinking but she always manages to do it with a bright expression. 

She's essentially as charming as it gets. Cool, calm, and collected, most appreciate that Harper minds her business and never bothers to get into anyone's face. She's quietly passionate and independent in everything she does, never wanting to rely on someone first before she relies on herself. But there are some individuals who fail to believe that Harper means everything she says without manipulative intent. Harper just enjoys going with the flow and mediating situations, reminding everyone that it is necessary to breathe at times. There are very few people that can get underneath her skin, but those people usually regret it once they catch glimpse of the icy fire and magic she isn't afraid to use.

- Harper would be a cat lady if she wasn't living with Lo.
- She is fluent in french and knows how to read archaic latin (#witchlife)
- Harper is actually very intelligent and got into Columbia in NY. Because she is such a homebody she settled somewhere closer and less prestigious. She has never been about the ivy league life, anyways.
- Harper tried to curse someone once but was stopped by her mother. After she saw the way her mother looked at her with such disappointment, she swore she would never do it again.
- Harper can recount how many times she has been angry on one hand. It had taken a lot, but each time resulted in random violence. She has flipped a table, punched someone, cut someone, threatened to kill someone, and then there's one more unspeakable thing.
- She was selling drugs before she worked at a pharmacy. (see: Porter Warner)
- She will shamelessly seduce someone if it means getting what she wants.
- Yes, Harper will love anyone. Unless you're Andrew Smith, then she won't love you.
- She usually dates and doesn't sleep around, but she's had her fair share of one night stands. But Harper also doesn't like being tied down to anything too serious, so she has only ever had one serious boy friend.
- Chemistry nerd.
- She is possibly one of the worst drivers out there but hasn't crashed yet, so that's okay. She has sweet talked herself out of some road tickets, though.
